Hi all,
We had a good meeting Thursday during
CAS advisory. Middle schoolers, and those involved in other CAS projects as
well: we are still figuring out a system for our weekly meetings so that
everyone can attend, and apologize for not having a meeting on Friday!
Things we covered:

o Mayor Coss is going to be our honored guest
speaker!
o We decided that we are going to show the
documentary “Chasing Ice” since it has the most directed message, but we will
try to find another time for a student showing of “All I Can” (the
skiing-related documentary) as well!

o The electricity and transportation groups continued

the online transportation survey and we will be sending it out to parents,
faculty and students promptly

preliminary surveying in the next two weeks or so

Hi All,
Thank you for coming last Friday and for bringing such great treats! It was a beautiful day, and for you 9th graders who were not there, we definitely hope to do another one soon (before it gets too chilly).
Our main matters of business were:
o This will be the Outdoor Clubs’ new project for the year
o We will help provide fundraising, manpower, publicity
o Solar Night Event
§ Kind of like Climate Night, but specifically focused on solar
· Will raise money for installing panels on our school
§ We will need to determine a timeline
*Last year this took us from November to March to get everything arranged, so we’ll have to start soon!
o We are no longer going to be doing river cleanup in the Santa Fe river do to accessibility
o However, we do plan on adopting an arroyo area on or near our campus
§ Middle Schoolers able to help with cleanup Tuesday afternoons
§ High Schoolers able to do so on Thursday afternoons (CAS activity)
o Will continue every Tuesday
§ Need people to sign up for each week either to sell or bring food
o Jud, Mr. Alei, Leslie, Mr. Richards and I will all be meeting this Wednesday to discuss how to combine the efforts of both groups
